Loss of a Cascade Family Member

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Sheila Gray has passed away from complications of her cancer diagnosis. Sheila has been with the Cascade family for many years - as a parent, part of the admin team and in the last few years one of our assistant coaches.  She will very much be missed. 

A celebration of life or memorial service will be planned once we are allowed to gather again.  Due to privacy reasons, we are unable to provide contact information for her family but you may feel free to email us direclty if you have any thoughts for the family and we will be happy to collect them and share.

Season Update

Hello Cascade Families,

We wanted to give you a quick update.  PSR is still planning the relaunch the season in early May with regionals tentatively scheduled for May 16-17 and May 30-31.  Additionally several clubs are planning to offer tournaments into June.  We will work with coaches individually regarding all tournament schedules if/when it is safe to resume play.

No practices will occur until May.

Please stay safe and healthy and above all optomistic - we will get through this!

Minor Athlete Prevention Policies (MAAPP)

USAV- SafeSport Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP):

Cascade Volleyball Club is committed to the safety of all participants and adheres to the required Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP) https://www.teamusa.org/usa-volleyball/about-us/safesport/maapp set forth by USA Volleyball and the Puget Sound Region. Policies include:

  1. One-on-One Interactions, including meetings and individual training sessions (Covered Organizations/LAOs are required to establish reasonable procedures to limit one-on-one interactions, as set forth in federal law).
  2. Massages and rubdowns/athletic training modalities.
  3. Locker rooms and changing areas.
  4. Social media and electronic communications.
  5. Local travel.
  6. Team travel.

Please check your team calendar on a weekly basis.  If a practice change occurs, as long as you have the correct contact information in our system, you will receive an email notice.  Rarely, but sometimes (as in the case of bad weather) – this notice may only happen just before your scheduled practice. 

During basketball season, locations and times can vary – please ALWAYS CHECK YOUR CALENDAR.  Please do not pre-load practice dates into your own calendar.
